Geoff has worked in the countryside his entire career, even before leaving school he worked on the grounds of stately homes in North Devon and on golf courses as a pest controller and general countryside worker before studying countryside and wildlife management at college where he specialised in the management of deer.

Before joining Riverlution in 2022 Geoff spent over a decade as a lecturer and manager at land-based further education colleges where he taught higher and further education coruses and spent time managing apprentices as well as large departments encompasing the broad range of land-based, construction and foundations studies subjects.

As well as his early experience in the countryside and in the education sector Geoff has worked all over the world with deer and wildlife and teaching and supervising outdoor education activities. Geoff has been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time traveling to research wildlife management practices in Europe and North America thanks to receiving the Farmers Club Agricultural Educators Award in 2019 and a Nuffield Farming Scholarship in 2021.
